3. My Ruby Ribbon personal Stylist- I love playing dress up and helping women rediscover their confidence in clothing and redefine their closet
4. Church secretary- I didn't think I would ever be church secretary again but there was a need and I was able to help out-- I love helping out where I can for the Glory of God!!!

Week 43 Layout in my ECLP
I am a little late but as I always say better late than never right?
Man where has this year gone, as we get older it is true the days, weeks, months, and years just fly by, CRAZY!!!
This week I wanted to use my Lawn fawn stamp set "Sweet smiles"
I also used my CTMH alphabet stamp set to remark my days of the week
all my inks are CTMH and staz-on I colored my images with copic markers
okay enough about my supplies lets get to my layout!!!
I used a masking technique by using post it notes and stamping the gumball machine on my sidebar the post-it notes allowed me to not stamp on the week space!

I am a planner girl!!!
I have always loved planning, my friends call me the event planner:)
I plan everything from meals to parties and everything in between. I had looked into getting an Erin Condren Life Planner for the past 5 years, but could never justify the price, didn't know if I would really use it(I was crazy) so I settled for the planners you find at Walmart, target, and Office Depot! I was never truly satisfied with any of the planners but I made do. Last year I ordered a planner kit from etsy, so cute but I never used it, too small. June comes and I looked up Erin Condren again and I took the plunge and ordered my life planner, I anxiously awaited my planner to arrive. While I waited for my planner to arrive I joined a couple of Facebook groups and started following planners on Instagram, I had so much fun looking at all the gorgeous planners out there I began making lists and shopping(keep in mind my planner had not even arrived) I went crazy and bought a ton of stickers, stamps, accessories, washi tape!
Most planners will tell you the same thing, that it is easy to go overboard on accessories for your planner and you really don't need all of it.
My advice for new planners is
1. Figure out what purpose your planner will serve(student, work, small business, home, personal, financial, fitness/health, memory journal, or maybe a combination)
2. Do you want to decorate your planner? If so do you want to only decorate with icons(functional) or do you want to fill every square with stickers and stamps
3. The first couple of weeks you have your planner I wouldn't decorate at all, use this time to figure out how you will use your planner(it has taken me 2 months to figure out how I want my planner to look)
4. Try to not go crazy on ETSY and craft stores before your planner arrives-- easier said than done, but I did go overboard and now that my planner is here and I am using it half of the stuff I bought I am not using
Essentials you will need
A. Washi tape of varying widths and patterns
B. Good quality pens(you don't need every pen, but you want something that you enjoy writing with and one that won't bleed through--trial and error, some pens that haven't bled through for others did on my planner and vice versa)
C. A few stickers or stamps (I personally like functional stamps from tiny stamps big plans, atelier. Dreams, decorative stamps from lawn fawn, Avery Elle, your next stamp, close to my heart, prima, sweet stamp shop, studio L2E, sticker packs from Darice(you can find at craft stores and some grocery stores)) ETSY has a wide variety of stickers but until you get the hang of it you may want to hold off on ETSY, for your wallets sake 😃
D. A good pair of scissors
E. Glue stick/tape runner
F. Post it notes to do all of your pre-planning

Pricing your work
Probably the hardest thing about selling your handmade products is pricing them. You don't want your prices too high but you don't want them too low either. I have read several blogs, and articles on how to price your work, I just recently realized I am making nothing probably going in the hole actually:( this was very hard news for me to hear and see.
This time on ETSY I have made several sales both online and off, I began researching how to make my business official and begin keeping books, it was only then that I figured out I was not making as much as I thought I was
I want to give an example
For my scrabble tiles I had listed them for $5.95
Expenses to make the tile--$2.18
Fees to sell the tiles-- $1.50
Shipping fees--$2.82
Total cost to make --$6.50
Wow that brings me to negative 0.55
I found this formula to price your work
Labor cost+ materials+ expenses x 2.5= retail value
For my scrabble tiles it would be
3.50+ 6.50(I have already added the materials and expenses together) x2.5= $25.00
That is a little too steep but that is what it retails for I am selling the for $8.50 for a regular tile and 12.00 for a custom photo pendant
I really didn't want to increase my prices but in order to make a profit I have to. At 8.50 please realize I only bring in $2.00 per tile sold

So I am amazed at how much Creative Corner has become so popular at the local salon and some local shops
I walked in to get my nails done and received 15 orders yeah that is right 15 orders I came straight home and began working on this massive order

Busy Busy Busy
I am about to release my Spring/ Summer Collection For Creative Corner Designs By Danielle Boutique
for Pure Eden and Scrabble Tile Pendants
I am so excited to be offering pieces that are bright, trendy, and of course affordable
I used Pantone color for Spring-Summer
Here is a little sneak peak of my work desk-- this desk is really my stamping/card making table but as my jewelry has taken over, I needed a place to organize them for photo shoot!
I am so excited for this in more than one ways, I explained above that the pieces are the first reason and here is my second reason
We made it through the winter my least favorite season of all, I love spring and I love summer and I Love Fall but winter I cannot stand at all, it really helped making these pieces for summer when it was snowing outside:)
I am also trying a new technique I hope to be able to share soon but here is a look at my work in progress

My scrabble tile pendants are created using an up-cycled REAL scrabble tile(no scrabble games were harmed in the making of my pendants) I permanently glue and screw a silver bail into the wood tile making it near impossible to ever come off. I attach the image/photo with a permanent high quality adhesive/sealant then cover the image/photo with epoxy-resin to give the pendant that glass-like finish.

I will re-size the photo and create your very own personalized photo pendant that will be on its way to you within 5 days of purchase(more often than not I ship sooner than that)

Busy Little Bee
So my weekend was Awesome, other than a sinus headache that refused to go away, I had 8 orders to work on :)
Saturday was spent crafting and then working on my orders
Sunday was packing them up and delivering the first part (a family order)
My etsy order was sent out
I have to make another delivery later this week
I am so excited my shop is thriving and that is all because of you my fabulous clients!

Happy Valentines Day!
I hope everyone has a lovely day today!!!!!
I wanted to give a quick update on my shop
- I had lots of plans this week that kind of got pushed to the back burner when my family from Cali surprised me and my mom and walked in our home wow what a day and what a week it has been:)
- I will be creating this evening as they have gone to see more family, I will be posting as I get them made so be sure to come and check them out (lots of valentines ideas never got completed but I am still going to make them can never be too early for next year:)
- My day job has had me working on a HUGE project and it is completed and we got approved for CEU credit, I am so thrilled lots of hard work paid off big time!!!!!
- I am still here with lots of thoughts and ideas about new product lines, I appreciate all of my clients/customers/friends as you are the reason I am so successful!!!!!
- I finally signed up for a pinterest account, yeah I know where have I been hiding but really I don't have time for another social media site but since my friend at work convinced me it is a good way to relax at the end of a long day, so I signed up! Busy in my shop and Luci makes her debut
I have had a full day of fun, work, fun, work yeah we will go with fun! Photographing products for my shop and getting a tray of pendants ready to go to the salon to show off:)
My adventure started at 9AM this morning with setting up the studio set complete with lights and backdrop
Then to get Luci ready for her debut, modeling our frilly scarves (homespun creations)
I set everything up and then starting photographing my scarves on Luci, I love how they turned out you are going to have to look at my shop for more details
I took a break at 10:30-11:30 (lunch)-- then a good friend stopped by to pick up her order, after that I made a special delivery to another great customer (she is family so does it really count? I dont know but I think it does!)
Came home and continued my photo shoot, now comes the fun part of editing and listing the photos on ETSY so people can buy them:)
I have a beautiful pearl, and mum necklace I am also working on I can not wait to get it photographed and listed would make a great Easter necklace!
I have 6 new designs of Scrabble tiles that will be appearing very soon too
All in a days work

I am happy to Introduce you to...
... Luci
My brand new dress form, I am so excited about my new addition!
I have always wanted a dress form but the mere fact that they are very expensive I never got one
Then I found a tutorial on how to make your own with duct tape, I thought that would probably be cheaper but would it live up to my expectation of a dress form?
I began a search online for an affordable dress form and after hours of my search I found her!!!!
What are you going to do with a dress form? Everyone has asked me, well I am going to use it as a display for my shop photos, and as a decoration (what she is meant to be)
now this is no little dress form she is over 5 feet tall maybe almost 6 feet:)
She is ready to model all of our homespun creations, and necklaces that are coming to our shop soon!

Wow what a day!!!
Woke up this morning to a fresh coating of white fluffy snow, and an early morning call from work stating we were on a two-hour delay due to the nasty roads. 45-60 minutes later we closed I now had a unexpected day off, I spent the good part of my morning working on exams, grading, and setting up my online class for next term. I had just looked up at the clock and was thinking I needed a break when all of a sudden my electronic devices began ringing like a cash register which means I got a sale on ETSY:)
I not only got 1 sale, not 2, not 3, but 4 sales in one day WOW!!!
I then headed out in the midst of winter to my nail appt, so excited about my sales I decided to wear my scrabble tile necklace for go red day, 6 people couldn't stop talking about them one even wanted my business card and also requested a custom scrabble pendant!
I stopped by a local craft supply shop to pick up some supplies to get me through the weekend
( more winter coming) I came home had an awesome dinner, new pizza in town. Retreated to my studio to finish packing the orders from today and creating some post earrings and a really cute purse charm, still working on this but photos coming soon!
As much as I hate winter and snow this snow day has been pretty awesome and successful!!! Now let's keep this streak up for a great February:)
Now off to do work on the computer
