CCFA Mission complete

Hello on this beautiful March day
I am super excited to share this post today but first I need to tell you that CCFA means-- Cricut Card Fairy Army( a great group of crafter's on the cricut boards that create cards with the cricut and their own supplies to send to people in need of a card all around the world)

I just joined the ranks the other day when I myself requested to have cards sent to a dear friend that is in the hospital awaiting a lung transplant

here are my 2 well 3 missions completed
#868-869

I made this card using the meow lite cartridge(#869)
(I have had this cart for a long time but this is the very first cut made using this cart)
I then used my cuttlebug to emboss the blue background(sky) and
my gypsy to cut ovals out in orange and green(sun and grass)
I am super happy with this card!

This next card is for another mission#868- I used the Disney cartridge with snow white and 7 dwarfs
This is a cute cut and I love him-- i think it will make him smile when he sees it:)

This card is for the same mission except for his mom-- I love hello kitty(what girl doesn't?)
I used hello kitty greetings cart for the front and the cuttlebug/sizzix folder in damask for the background-- Stickles for the flowers
Very very happy with this card I hope it puts a smile on her face!

The back of my cards are stamped(well computer generated until a stamp can be made) with this logo

Thanks for stopping by and
Until next time happy Crafting

Recap from the Crop

Our annual crop/scrapbook retreat was this past weekend, as usual it was a blast!

We arrived on Friday to see the room decorated as a 50's diner(super cute) here are some photos from the weekend
Had a Great time on Friday, Saturday, Sunday! I can not wait until we do something like this again but it is going to be a few years (as you can see the hostess has a lot of money invested)

I taught a gypsy class on Saturday everyone that came loved the gypsy and actually got on their phones right away and ordered a gypsy:) I can see more gypsy classes coming in the future!

We did a make and take and made little treat boxes (I did not complete one because I made the sample box)

We received 2 double page kits, eyelets, chipboard album, flowers, cute clothespins embellishments, chipboard words-- I left each time she gave away doorprizes but they were awesome-- here are just a few, paper pads, embellishment kits, page kits, and gift cards to hobby lobby!

Just a few photos from this weekend...

The entrance to our room had this over the door, we walked through the fringe too many times and kept pulling it down so we moved it to the side of the door!
my workstation in the middle of scrap-booking-- a mess but a fun mess
my gypsy board that advertised my gypsy class-- everyone wanted to be able to make a title like mine(loved the gypsy font cartridge)
table decorations car headed to the diner
getting all set up for my gypsy class
the huge milkshake that greeted us as we arrived(Looked almost good enough to take a sip:) )
Our root beer float treats on Friday night

Our crop station decorated like we were going to eat at a diner super cute:)

Until next time Happy Crafting

A box using my gypsy

I have seen nothing but the cutest boxes on blogs, made using the cricut! I decided i wanted to make one too:)

I did not have any cartridges that made a box but not to worry my gypsy came to the rescue

I used George and basic shapes to create the inside boxes and plantin schoolbook to create the flower

I used my scor-pal to create the outer box

a side view of the box

Side view of the flower to show how many layers was used in making the flower pop off the box!

close up of the flower(I love how it turned out)

the inside of the box, complete with some note-cards, a stamp set (to decorate the note cards) and a altered note pad with matching pen!

I hope you like it and it gives you inspiration to make one too!

Happy crafting!
Danielle:)
